Hello everyone!

I am now happy to report that the campaign for nut gift baskets to our major media sources is a GO GO GO! The press release have been submitted to Jeff and Mary for final revision and our "gift pack" has been chosen. We ended up with 41 places to send our treats to (one additional at the request of the person who wanted the San Jose paper, sorry, I can't remember who it was....it has been a blur these last few day). It has been requested that we add TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly to the pot. This will depend on the amount of donations we receive.

Now, to the baskets and how to donate. After talking with Jeff B., we are unable to get a basket for our choice of nuts. :(. So what we have decided to do is send the $11.99 mixed nut sampler tray instead. If you have not seen it here is the link.

The reason for this is to keep the cost down for the price of the nuts and shipping. If we do 12 x 43....the cost for the nuts will be $516. We do not know what shipping costs and tax if there is any, will be yet...but I am going to guess high -- between $100 - $150...we will have the definate amount hopefully by tomorrow. So roughly this will cost $650 to do. You do not have to donate the full basket amount....just donate what you are willing to give.

Jeff does not have the capability to pool our money at this time, so I will volunteer my paypal account for this cause. You will need to send your donation to looseygoosey@tds.net. You will have to go to www.paypal.com, then go to send money. You will put in my email address as the person who is receiving, your email address as the person sending and then follow the steps to finsh the transaction. I will subtract Paypal fees from your donation. We would like to have all donations by Friday so we can be ready to roll immediately after the Variety ad hits the stands.

If we surpass our goal before the Hollywood Reporter deadline...I will donate any extra money toward the Hollywood Reporter ad. If we meet our goal after the deadline, the surplus will be donated to the DVD campaign unless anyone objects. I will post to this thread a financial statement so everyone will be able to review what happened to the money once the campaign is over. If you have any questions, feel free to post here!

It's been a really long road for all of us, but it was all worth it. WE did this. The 7 new episodes of Jericho may not seem like much, but they are OUR 7 episodes. CBS would never have reran these episodes if it wasn't for us. If we hadn't put together this awesome effort, Jericho would be nothing more then a distant memory. This is why this page is here. I want to recognise all of your efforts. This is YOUR page!

NOW its time for us to show CBS that we as the Jericho Community are a class act. Start sending thank you's to CBS in whatever form you find tasteful!

We now shift our goal! We start recruiting viewership. Like our fellow citizens in Jericho all stood for a single cause, It is now up to us to recruit viewership. Lets not allow CBS to feel they made a mistake! Read the press release from CBS, it states that we must get in additional viewership! Only we can do it! We have proven ourselves a force to be reckoned with. Lets not give up our fight now in the face of success!

To the Fans of Jericho: Wow! Over the past few weeks you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime time television series. You got our attention; your emails and collective voice have been heard. As a result, CBS has ordered seven episodes of “Jericho” for mid-season next year. In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more “Jericho,” we will need more viewers. A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show. But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available. We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity and volume you have displayed in recent weeks. At this time, I cannot tell you the specific date or time period that “Jericho” will return to our schedule. However, in the interim, we are working on several initiatives to help introduce the show to new audiences. This includes re-broadcasting “Jericho” on CBS this summer, streaming episodes and clips from these episodes across the CBS Audience Network (online), releasing the first season DVD on September 25 and continuing the story of Jericho in the digital world until the new episodes return. Although we succeeded in bringing Jericho back, Nina Tassler did make a statement that alluded to the fact that they are still going to measure Jericho's success by "increased ratings".

Wasnt this the problem that lead to our demise? CBS and other networks cannot count solely on Nielson ratings since the majority of us fans, I would assume, are not Nielson Familys.

Again, we need to make our voices heard! We need to tell CBS that all of our viewership counts, not only the #'s of Nielson boxes tuned in.

#'s being reported in viewership for season 1 are coming in at aproximately 8 million average viewers. I guarantee that there were WAY many more of us watching than that!

Email CBS! Contact them & tell them to count all of us viewers!

To the family, friends, and fans of Jericho,I write to you from my home in London utterly staggered by the events of the last week or so. I, along with all the cast and crew from the show, was totally gutted (UK slang for 'very upset') when news came down that our show was cancelled. As has been said by others who have posted here, Jericho was a special time for so many of us. We worked so well together and it was almost effortless, so easy. Don't get me wrong it wasn't all plain sailing, we fought and we argued and some days were best forgotten...But most days, almost everyday on Jericho was a joy. If I had to be as far away from my family, as I had to be to do this job, I could not have picked a finer bunch of people to be with than the cast, crew, writers and producers of this show.
As if that wasn't enough, my luck ran further because I was given the gift of playing Robert Hawkins. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity I was given to bring that man to life. He kept me on my toes and kept me honest. I enjoyed his company so much.
As I say, that was about as much luck as any one actor, any one show, deserved...but no, our luck ran still further. It turns out that we have about the most amazing fans that ever were. Truly your support and passion for Jericho is very humbling. You have stood up when all around you, including myself, gave up. You have reminded all of us involved in this rarefied world of making TV just who we are making it for. You have stopped being veiwing figures and started being individual people who cared, who enjoyed, who were entertained, and who were loyal and committed. You were a great audience and are proving to be more than we ever could have wished for.
As I said I am staggered by your show of strength and just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thanks for watching and thanks for fighting to see more.

Please know that canceling a television series is a very difficult decision. Hundreds of people at the Network, the production company and the incredibly-talented creative team worked very hard to build and serve the community for this show -- both on-air and online.
